The first awesome meeting

I am in the third semester now. In last Thursday I had class with Miss Ine, the lecturer that I have never seen before. She said that it was her first teaching experience. I was so comfortable joining that lecture because she is different with other lecturers. She could treat us what we want. She explained the material clearly. Our opinion was valued by her. That was a wonderful job. I want that ways or methods always used in our classroom.

No dominant students and no more silent students are my expectation in this course. Because how pity the students who have low ability to speak if the dominant students are allowed in the class. Usually some lecturers pay all of her/his attention to the student who has well in speaking rather than the silent student. Whereas the silent student is not as stupid as we thought. They just need the guidance and attention from others. Give the chance for that student is one of the ways to help the silent student. I hope my beloved lecturer consider it in learning and teaching process, not only for Miss Ine but also for all of the lecturers.

At the first meeting of Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment that I got it last Thursday, it is about our previous teacher when we were in senior high school, teacher that inspiring us to be a teacher and the teachers who are interesting and not interesting. Why they have inspired us and others. Most of my friends really like his/her teacher, it is because of they are smart, caring and understanding.

The interesting moment happened when Miss Ine asked to us to answer a question which is the fundamental for us, why we want to be a teacher. Actually some of us do not want to be a teacher; I don’t know why they do not really want to be a teacher although they are studying in education major. Honestly, I also do not really want to be a teacher, I think to be a teacher is not only in the classroom or formal education but also to be a teacher is do a great thing in social life. Giving and sharing our knowledge each other in the society is one of example to be a teacher.

That’s all my experience in Principle of Effective Teaching and Assessment. I hope the next meeting will be more interesting than the last meeting. Learn more about lesson plan must be interesting.
